A night with Goose Island migration tour was really well received in Seattle. I just had the Bourbon County Stuff. I loved the Proprietor’s and the Backyard Rye but the 2012 Coffee was the real winner in my opinion. All were delicious. The G.I. events are always huge in the Midwest and I am glad to the West embracing them as well.
Awesome tap selection Roast public house in Madison, including Goose Island bourbon barrel coffee stout right next to Founders KBS.
Goose Island Rare Bourbon County Stout.
From Greg Hall (brewer):
“BCS rare, I’m excited. Brewed in 2008, aged for 24 months in 23 year old Pappy Van Winkle Barrels. These are the very best smelling barrels I’ve come across in 18 years of barrel aging beer. Barrels were originally filled with spirit in 1985. We have 50 bourbon barrels aging, it will be a one time bottling, it will not be repeated.”
I had this on tap via The Glass Nickel last night at a Goose Island specialty tasting, it was like heaven. (Taken with Instagram)
